Burglary Near You - Girlington Street

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Thursday 22nd January between 2025hrs and 2038hrs this occurred in and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

 Suspect(s) are unknown. At times, dates, location provided suspect(s) gain entry to locus by attacking the lock at the rear of the property. Suspect(s) make an untidy search of the upstairs bathroom and two bedrooms before making off in unknown direction.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it:  on Thursday 22nd January between 2000hrs and 2050hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
